President
Mark Klapow
Mark joined Adat Shalom over 15 years ago when his youngest started kindergarten. The family was drawn to the unique blend of traditional and innovative ritual practice, spiritual experiences, and opportunities to learn and grow together. Most importantly, they deeply value the profound sense of community at Adat Shalom. Now teenagers, the children continue to actively participate including serving as madrachim in the Limmud program, signing with Chords of Glory, serving food at Oneg lunch, and occasionally leading parts of services.
Mark served as general counsel for many years before joining the Board three years ago as VP of Community Engagement. He is very excited for the coming few years with new clergy and remarkable purpose and energy in our activities.
When not at Adat Shalom, Mark is a partner at an AMLaw 100 law firm practicing intellectual property and commercial litigation. His family lives in Somerset Maryland.
