Reconstructing Judaism
Adat Shalom has been an affiliate of Reconstructing Judaism (and its preceding organizations) since our founding in 1987.
Reconstructing Judaism: the central organization of the groundbreaking, always-evolving Reconstructionist movement. We help build thriving Jewish communities, empower individuals to lead lives of deeper meaning and purpose, train rabbis who make a difference, and work to bring about a more just and sustainable world.
Camp Havaya
Adat Shalom has a strong relationship with Camp Havaya, the summer camp program of the Reconstructionist movement. Camp Havaya is a truly extraordinary place where kids feel part of something bigger than themselves, and they’ll want to experience that magic year after year.
Join Reconstructing Judaism's Convention, B’Yachad, March 12-15, 2026 in Philadelphia to rekindle light and joy.
Why B’Yachad? Because in these turbulent times, we need to rekindle light and create joy as a community. We will learn, pray, and celebrate. Together, we can begin to create the world we want to live in.
