Asefa (which means “gathering”) is our special learners’ service designed for Limmud students and their families to experience the beauty of Shabbat—together.
Held about once a month on Shabbat morning, Asefa features a shortened, engaging service that blends singing, prayer, and learning in an age-appropriate, welcoming environment.
It’s a chance for kids to become more comfortable with the flow of services and for families to share in the rhythms of Jewish life side by side.
We hope you’ll join us—check the calendar for upcoming dates!

Tot Shabbat is a warm, welcoming service designed for families with children from birth through pre-K. We meet on Saturday mornings from 11:00 AM – Noon, for a fun, music-filled celebration of Shabbat.
Led by Ms. Ellie, a professional music educator, Tot Shabbat blends singing, movement, and storytelling to introduce children—and their adults—to Shabbat rituals and values in an age-appropriate, engaging way.
Together, we explore songs, blessings, the meaning behind traditions, the weekly Torah portion, and tikkun olam (repairing the world). It’s a great opportunity for families to build community and connect with one another in a relaxed, joyful setting.
After the service, the children join the main sanctuary service to help lead kiddush and hamotzi with the broader Adat Shalom community. All are then welcome for our Oneg Shabbat lunch.
We’d love to welcome you. Be in touch with Rozzie.Eppsteiner@AdatShalom.net for more information.
